The course aims to give the students knowledge and skills in the principles of digital image processing. The basic stages of processing are considered.

Content


Emphasis is placed on methods, algorithms and approaches for: image registration; enhancing and restoring images by changing contrast and brightness; morphological image processing - presentation and description according to selected criteria such as: edges, boundaries of areas, skeletons, convex hulls, etc.; image segmentation - split components or objects, image recognition; template matching and more.
The course is based on the students' knowledge in the subjects of the bachelor's degree: "Mathematics for Computer Science", "Computer Graphics and Visualization", "Synthesis and Analysis of Algorithms". The course has outgoing links with Deep Learning and Diploma project.
