The discipline "Industrial Controllers" aims to deepen the students' knowledge in designing intelligent systems for control and automation of industrial processes.
The basic methods and tools for data input and output are discussed, as well as their processing with programmable logic controllers. Attention is also paid to the creation of dispatching monitoring and control systems using proper hardware and software tools. An introduction to industrial computer networks built with industrial controllers is also included. A comparative analysis of numerous modern industrial networks is carried out for the transfer of different types of information in an industrial environment.
The course is based on students' knowledge of the bachelor's degree programs: "Specialized Computer Systems" and "Computer Networks". The discipline has outgoing links with Diploma project.
